This brand are exceptionally passionate about delivering exceptional, bespoke services to their customers, both online and in-store. The Role
We have partnered with this phenomenal brand in their search for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager, who will lead their Retail eCommerce and Mobile App Engineering Teams. This role will oversee the development and optimisation of our digital commerce experiences, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver seamless customer experiences. 
 
Below are some of the key responsibilities: 
 
Technical Leadership: Driving technical excellence by promoting best practises — Guiding the team in leveraging REST APIs within a microservice driven ecosystem to enhance scalability and maintainability — Challenge technical approaches, encouraging innovation and ensuring strategic technical decisions.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture — Support engineers’ professional development — Build and maintain effective relationships across teams to create a collaborative, productive environment.
Project Delivery: Work closely with Product Managers to prioritise engineering efforts that align with business objectives — Clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical peers, ensuring alignment between engineering and business goals.
Process Improvement: Foster continuous improvement in engineering processes and workflows — Encourage the adoption of modern development methodologies and best practices — Ensure effective collaboration with UX designers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to optimize delivery.
 
The Person
The ideal candidate for this role can demonstrate the following experience:
Hands-on technical background with experience in Software Development, Architecture or related fields
Experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, headless commerce solutions, and API-driven architectures
Hands on-experience with API development and App development
Expertise in Microservices, with a strong understanding of cloud technologies and modern software development practises
Strong programming background in React, React Native, JavaScript and Node or equivalent languages
