The Role
The Online Trading Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our online trading operations. This role is focused on driving commercial performance through effective trading strategies, optimizing product listings, and maximizing revenue across our eCommerce channels. With a commercial mindset and a strong focus on trading, you will be responsible for delivering results that align with our business goals and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Trading Strategy Development: Design and implement effective online trading strategies to drive sales growth and improve conversion rates across all digital channels.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), sales data, and customer insights to make informed decisions and optimize trading activities.
Product Optimization: Oversee the merchandising and optimization of product listings, including pricing strategies, promotions, and stock management to ensure a compelling and competitive online presence.
Commercial Focus: Develop and execute promotional campaigns, including seasonal and flash sales, to boost traffic and revenue. Collaborate with marketing teams to align promotions with broader marketing strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and digital teams to align trading activities with overall business objectives. Ensure seamless execution of strategies across various departments.
P&L Management: Take ownership of online trading budgets and financial targets. Monitor and manage P&L performance to ensure profitability and meet financial goals.
Customer Experience: Enhance the online shopping experience by improving website functionality, user experience, and customer engagement through targeted strategies and optimizations.
Reporting & Insights: Provide regular reports on trading performance, including sales, traffic, and conversion metrics. Use data insights to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decisions.
The Person
Experience: Proven track record in online trading and commercial management within a retail environment. Experience with large-scale eCommerce operations is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights. Proficiency in eCommerce platforms and trading tools.
Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of commercial trading strategies, product merchandising, and revenue optimization techniques.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Remote Work: Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a fully remote environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
