eCommerce Manager– Amsterdam

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Website Ownership End-to-End:

 

Own the entire consumer journey on the website, ensuring that it effectively represents the brand.

Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to translate brand vision into UX/UI designs.

Regularly update website content, including text, images, and multimedia, ensuring that information is accurate and current.

Content Management:

 

Publish and manage content across various web pages, creating new pages as needed.

Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and is optimized for SEO through proper tagging and formatting.

Product & Dealer Information:

 

Update product listings and dealer information as necessary, including the introduction of new products and partnerships.

Merchandising & UX:

 

Monitor site performance metrics and user feedback to identify and implement improvements in navigation, layout, and overall functionality.

Technical Troubleshooting:

 

Address and resolve technical issues quickly, coordinating with developers or IT support to fix problems such as broken links, functionality errors, or performance issues.

Feature Development:

 

Work with Product Owners to provide feedback on new feature development and enable user testing to ensure a seamless user experience.

Reporting & Analysis:

 

Monitor performance against soft KPIs, derive actionable insights, and create data-driven roadmaps to enhance website performance.

Security Management:

 

Partner with external suppliers to maintain robust website security, conduct regular backups, perform software updates, and assess vulnerabilities to protect against cyber threats.

Collaboration:

 

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and IT, to ensure website strategies align with broader organizational goals.

SEO Webmaster:

 

Work closely with SEO specialists and the development team to manage the website in line with technical SEO best practices.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.

Experience:

 

At least 3 years of proven experience in website management, preferably in a similar industry or role.

Familiarity with various Content Management Systems (CMS) and platforms.

Technical Skills:

 

Experience with web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a strong advantage.

Solid understanding of SEO principles and techniques, with a proven track record of improving website rankings and driving organic traffic.

Analytical Skills:

 

Highly analytical with significant experience using GA4, Hotjar, A/B testing tools, and other technologies to derive actionable insights.

Problem-Solving & Communication:

 

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address technical challenges based on data insights.

Strong communication and project management skills, capable of working cross-functionally and coordinating dependencies with different teams.

Adaptability:

 

Eager to learn new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
