The Role
As the Basket & Checkout Product Manager, you’ll take full ownership of your product, from initial vision to ongoing evolution. Your mission? To deliver a frictionless, secure, and high-converting checkout experience. You’ll act as the voice of the customer, ensuring every enhancement maximizes value while driving business success.

A key aspect of this role involves supporting a large-scale platform migration—one of the most significant digital transformation projects in the brand’s history. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring a seamless transition and optimizing performance throughout the process.

The Person
You’re a strategic and data-driven product leader who thrives in fast-paced digital environments. Passionate about user experience, payments, and fraud prevention, you understand the nuances of checkout optimization and the impact it has on conversion. You collaborate effortlessly with UX, Engineering, Security, and third-party providers to drive innovation and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership: Own the Basket & Checkout roadmap, aligning it with customer needs and business goals.
Customer Experience: Enhance the checkout journey to drive conversions and reduce abandonment.
Payments & Fraud: Work with internal teams and external partners to optimize payment acceptance, ensure compliance, and implement fraud prevention strategies.
Data-Driven Decisions: Continuously analyze KPIs, such as checkout completion rates and payment success rates, to refine the product.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UX, Engineering, Optimisation, and Security teams to integrate new technologies and improve user flows.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate product vision, performance insights, and roadmap updates to senior leadership.
Industry Insight: Stay ahead of trends, competitor benchmarks, and regulatory changes to inform product strategy.
Agile Execution: Champion agile methodologies, iterating based on customer feedback and business priorities.

Proven experience in digital product management, particularly in Basket, Checkout, Payments, and Fraud.
Strong understanding of ecommerce payments, fraud detection tools, and compliance regulations.
A track record of optimizing checkout flows to improve conversion and minimize friction.
Data-driven mindset with expertise in tracking and interpreting performance metrics.
Deep knowledge of UX principles and their impact on checkout experience.
Exceptional communication skills to align teams and influence key stakeholders.
Strategic thinking with the ability to balance business goals and customer needs.

Experience with ecommerce platforms, payment gateways, and fraud prevention technologies.
Familiarity with pharmacy and healthcare industries (a plus, but not essential).
Experience working in an agile environment, ideally within a scaled agile (SAFe) framework.
