The Brand

This is a unique opportunity to step into a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment working closely with one of the UK’s most recognised investors (BBC’s Dragon’s Den). Based in London, you’ll be part of a hands-on investment team managing and scaling a diverse portfolio of consumer-facing businesses. One of the key focuses will be an award-winning, design-led oral care brand – alongside other exciting private investments made through the group. The brands span across industries including FMCG, e-commerce, lifestyle, and innovation-driven consumer goods. If you thrive on variety, live for commercial growth, and love building something from the ground up, this is the kind of opportunity where you’ll genuinely be in the driver’s seat.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Manager who can take full ownership of growing and operating businesses within the group’s portfolio. You’ll be involved in every layer of growth – from managing day-to-day operations to scaling sales and shaping go-to-market strategies. You’ll report directly to the General Manager/Head of Brands, and work closely with the wider investment team. Expect a hybrid mix of strategy and execution, where you’ll be managing everything from key commercial relationships to budgeting, marketing campaigns, e-commerce performance, and international sales.

Day-to-day, you’ll oversee both UK and global accounts, lead commercial negotiations, manage Amazon growth via external partners, and play a key role in strategic business planning. On top of that, you’ll also support other start-up brands within the portfolio, conducting research, reviewing performance, and providing insights that directly influence investor decisions.

The Person

We’re after someone entrepreneurial at heart – someone who’s just as comfortable closing a commercial deal as they are reviewing a P&L or building a marketing plan. You might come from a background in FMCG, e-commerce, or early-stage ventures, and you’ll be someone who thrives in fast-moving environments with a lot of autonomy. You’ll need strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise across different industries and challenges.

You should have between 2-5 years of experience managing sales, operations or commercial growth, ideally across both B2B and D2C channels. You’ll have a proven track record in managing accounts, negotiating deals, and identifying new revenue opportunities – both in the UK and internationally. Financial know-how is important too – budgeting, forecasting, and reporting will all sit within your remit. A willingness to roll your sleeves up, travel when needed, and juggle multiple priorities is essential in this entrepreneurial, ever-evolving role.
